# Credits and limits

Each new business researched uses one lead credit. A task's max_leads or max_research_leads is a hard cap; it cannot raise the account plan allowance. Follow-up messages share the original task cap.

Contact enrichment, email verification, social checks, website checks, progress reads and exports do not use lead credits. run_tool uses the current list and does not reserve lead credits. Account plan limits, concurrent tasks and request limits still apply.

GET /account returns lead_credits_remaining, lead_credit_limit, credits_reset_at, limits, key_limits and permissions. Key restrictions can lower per-task or per-minute use; they do not add credits.
