# LeadsAgent

> LeadsAgent finds local businesses and their contact data across 250M+ live businesses, in any city or niche. Remote MCP server and REST API. Each business researched costs one lead credit.

Auth: OAuth sign-in (no client ID needed), or an API key `la_…` in `X-API-Key` or `Authorization: Bearer`. Send one credential.

## Set up LeadsAgent

1. Identify the app that runs you and its surface: terminal (CLI), desktop app, IDE extension or web. A CLI and a desktop app of one product set up differently.
2. Read the rules once: https://leadsagent.io/documentation/setup/rules.md
3. Read only the page for your app and surface. Add `&method=oauth` or `&method=key`. Use OAuth when the row lists it.
